Jacqueline Wyse Wins Educator of the Year Butler High School Principal Recognized

jacquelineHuntsville, Ala. —- Jacqueline Wyse, nominated by the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Huntsville Alumnae Chapter was selected as Educator of the Year by the Girls Scouts of North-Central Alabama. Her community service and accolades are numerous. She has received the Distinguished Educators Awards, and is a member of the Rotary Club of Huntsville and the Council of Leaders, State of Alabama. Ms. Wyse is also President-Elect of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Huntsville Alumnae Chapter.

This year’s Women of Distinction Award founded by the Girls Scouts of North-Central Alabama recognized leaders in our community on Friday, May 8, 2009. The program was held at the Huntsville Country Club and was attended by community leaders and supporters. Several African-American leaders made the list of nominees for leadership in various areas of the community, including Neurologist, Dr. Belinda Savage-Edwards, Aerospace Engineer, Dr. Shelia Nash-Stevenson, News Anchor WHNT, Lisa Washington, School Administrator, Josephine Scruggs, Retired Educator, Lady Shivers Tucker and Butler High School Principal Jacqueline Wyse.
